Jeff Cook Coil
Some new visitors to this site may first
be wondering, is there any validity to
Jeff Cook's coil and the Jeff Cook Effect
when no one has been able to reproduce it?
Surely there must be some mistake or this
is simply a hoax, right? The truth is,
and this is really not up for debate, a good
deal of individuals have indeed reproduced
the effect and the coil successfully. It's
just that no one has yet to publicly step
forward to admit it. Why not? Well, that is
the million dollar question, isn't it?
Mr. Cook has provided a number of people
with coils that he personally assembled and
discussed with them over the phone their findings,
which were supportive and positive. Those
individuals have been following his work since
then and correspond with him today from time
to time. Also, a larger number of individuals
have witnessed the effects in person, some
with curiosity, some with more questions.
A few have admitted in Internet forums and
groups brief confirmation of a handful of
the claims, verifying some of the more important
findings. However, when asked to sign their
names to a list of sucessful replications,
they ignored the request, as though it were
never presented. The reasons as to why anyone
might behave in such a way is actually complicated
and perhaps even individual, but not really
worth studying up on except perhaps from a
social standpoint.
However, in terms of Jean-Louis Naudin's
notorius "failed" replication effort,
as well as CTLabs', which were both published
on the Internet with fervor, the answers to
why such failures would occur are quite simple.
Yet, the reasons why capable individuals would
make such obvious mistakes in their construction
remains unclear.
Why Mr. Naudin's replication effort failed:
1) He repeatedly refused to construct the
coil as Jeff Cook specified, particularly
the air-core specification. And even when
he did eventually use an air core, well after
first plastering the negative results across
the Internet, he continued to refuse to follow
instructions on other important aspects.
2) His photos of the bending flame are also
clearly against how Mr. Cook specified
one needed to hold a lighter across the face
of the coil to acquire the bending flame effect.
There is a reason for this special handling,
having to do with the shape and characteristics
of the field, which was explained to Jean-Louis
on more than one occassion. However, the test
was not fulfilled and no more had been published
on this from him since then.
Why CTLabs replication effort failed:
1) Very simply, a steel bolt was used for
the core of the coil. Uh, huh??? This would
obviously prevent the diamagnetic element
of the coil to even get to stage-1 of the
effect. There really is no great excuse for
an obvious disregard to this, as Mr. Cook
has always made it known how and why this
is important.
How a Jeff Cook Coil really should
be made...
